ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Latashia DeVeaux, Principal/PR Strategist
As a seasoned communications, talent relations and social impact executive with more than 25 years of publicity, brand strategy, integrated marketing, and event management expertise and 10 years experience in people operations and talent management, Latashia DeVeaux has competently delivered ongoing consulting and strategic planning to client fields, including technology, spirits & beverages, luxury automotive, beauty/health & wellness; and the entertainment industry both domestic and internationally.
Latashia spearheads operations at the Los Angeles-based DeVeaux Agency, DeVeaux Media Group (DMG) and its parent company, DeVeauxted Enterprises, Inc., where she oversees an ever-expanding list of clients. Responsible for operations, content development, business transactions, and outreach and publicity logistics for the firm’s political officials, nonprofit, consumer brand, and sports/film/television clients.
Other areas of interest to note is DeVeaux’s career where she held positions as a Music Coordinator/Assistant Music Supervisor on two feature film soundtracks as well as stints with Rogers & Cowan, William Morris Endeavor, Disney, Black Entertainment Television (BET), Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and the burgeoning startup HopSkipDrive.
Switching gears, DeVeaux served as an Associate Producer on 11-04-08: The Day of Change for Starz Entertainment, a documentary that recorded famous actors as they relived a historical day in America – the election of President Barack Obama and executive produced celebrity-driven PSA's for Million Trees Los Angeles and Kaiser Foundation & Black AIDS Institute Greater Than AIDS and Test 1 Million campaigns. At the same time, Latashia co-produced the United States Tennis Association’s annual summer event to support the organization’s diversity initiative.
In 2017, Latashia and Eddie Rhodman, launched DeVeaux Agency's Corporate Social Responsibility program: Do Ur Part, where BIG3 athletes participated in various community outreach programs all over the US. The success of the program caught the attention of the league's (BIG3) executives, which eventually lead them to launch Young3 with Adidas Basketball to teach youth around the globe the importance of healthy eating and sportsmanship.
Summer 2018, an opportunity of a lifetime fell in Latashia's lap. She spent the next 12 months brokering a deal with the United States Armed Forces Entertainment (US AFCENT) and executed the first-ever BIG3 and WNBA Middle East Tour to visit the troops across four countries.
Currently, Latashia serves as the President of Black Public Relations Society, Los Angeles (BPRSLA), Member of the Television Arts & Sciences (TV Academy, PR and Production Committees), Board of Directors for Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC) Ed Fund. Former PR Chairperson & Board of Directors for National Association of Multi-Ethnic Communicators (NAMIC SoCal), Advisory Board member Texas Southern University (TSU) School of Communication, and Codega Foundation.
She holds two bachelor degrees in Political Science and African-American Studies from California State University, Northridge and masters degree from the University of Southern California.
